The Spitter is an enemy that appears in the original Afraid of Monsters and the Director's Cut.
Appearance[]
In the original Afraid of Monsters, the Spitter is a short bipedal squid-like monster with a red metallic body. It has tentacles around it’s mouth and sharp claws on it legs, feet and tail. It also appears to have featureless dark grey on the side of it’s head.
In the Director’s Cut, the monster is now a variant of the Twitcher. It walks on it’s arms, and it’s legs are curled up from the ground unnaturally. The Spitter’s head is also notably disfigured and mangled.
Tactics[]
- Shooting from cover or long range is reccomended to avoid projectile attacks
- If close-range or melee are your only options, rotating around the Spitter to stay on one of its sides will prevent it from using its whip or spit attack as it has to keep turning to face you
- Though uncommon, if the Spitter does not have a clear shot of the player it may walk to a better vantage point
